Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2-3 years of hospital-based CT experience for a weekend 12-hour day shift contract role.

Details

• Hospital setting with 5 CT scanners
• Inpatient, outpatient, and ER patient population including occasional pediatric cases (teenagers)
• Procedures include general anatomy, calcium scoring, coronary studies, stroke alert, CTA perfusion studies, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and head scans
• Also performs procedural work including biopsies and drains
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Uses GE equipment (GE Revolution and Evo preferred)
• EPIC EMR used
• 12-hour day shifts, Saturday/Sunday/Monday, 0730-2000
• No floating required
• No call requirements
• Weekend-only shift rotation

Requirements

• BLS and ARRT-CT certification required
• License required if applicable
• Minimum 2-3 years of CT experience in a hospital setting required
• Experience with GE equipment strongly preferred
• Experience with general anatomy, calcium scoring, coronary studies, stroke alert, CTA perfusion, and biopsy/drain procedures

Additional Information

• Works alongside other CT techs, Radiology RNs, RRT, Code Blue team, and centralized transport staff
• Facility orientation consists of 3 shifts to learn unit flow
• Holiday coverage expected for 1 summer and 1 winter holiday
• Scrubs of any color accepted, except camo or denim
• Free parking available

• Former employees of the health system must be separated at least 12 months before eligible for travel
• No radius restrictions; local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Facility adheres to a fatigue policy limiting staff to 60 hours per week or 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts
