Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week day shift assignment at a verified trauma center, requiring 3+ years of ICU experience and prior travel assignment history.

Details

• Work in a busy ICU at an acute care hospital that is Macomb County's first verified trauma center
• ICU patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 based on acuity, with Step Down ratios of 1:3
• May float to CVICU as needed
• Uses Cerner EMR
• Day shift schedule with 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Scheduled as 3/12s with a 36-hour guarantee (no 4/12s)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required at time of submission
• Compact license not accepted
• Minimum 3 years of ICU experience required
• Completion of at least one prior travel assignment required
• Current BLS, ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications required
• Copy of ACLS certification required for consideration
• Skills checklist completed within the past year required for nursing specialties
• Michigan license verification (LARA and Nursys) required

• Deliver quality nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to maintain professional nursing standards
• Follow hospital policies, mission, and regulatory practice standards
• Direct, coordinate, and delegate care activities to support patient and family-centered care
• Navy blue scrub color required
• Facility has a strict attendance policy; absences or tardiness of 20+ minutes on 3 occasions may result in immediate termination
• Local candidates within a 35-mile radius are considered local travelers and receive a reduced travel rate
• Former McLaren full-time employees are not eligible for contract hire within six months of their employment end date
• Requests for more than 5 days of RTO are not accepted
