Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor and Delivery RN for a night shift assignment requiring high-risk L&D experience and C-EFM certification through NCC.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit assignment
• High-risk L&D patient population
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 19:00-07:30
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• Float required within skillset to units such as Mom/Baby and postpartum
• Call required (36 hrs per 6 weeks or 12 hrs per pay period), must be within 45 minutes of facility when on call

Requirements

• Active MD RN license or Compact RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE, and C-EFM (through NCC) certifications required
• 2 years of recent L&D experience required within the last 7 years
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required
• Charge and/or preceptor experience required
• Circulate and FHM (fetal heart monitoring) skills required
• Triage experience preferred
• Two supervisory references required, including one from most recent assignment
• Must support at least 2 years of experience within the previous 3 years

Additional Information

• Provide labor and delivery nursing care including high-risk delivery support and C-section circulation
• Perform fetal monitoring including recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Conduct antepartum care, procedures, and obstetrical triage
• Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower pay rate
• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per 13-week contract
• Previous MedStar employees must have a minimum one-year separation before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers not eligible; prior travel assignment required
