Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer to perform adult and pediatric echocardiography, requiring at least 5 years of experience and RDCS/CCI RCS certification.

Details

• Adult and pediatric echocardiography in acute care, outpatient, ICU, and emergency department settings
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts generally from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM (may vary a couple hours)
• Rotating weekends required
• On-call required after 5:30 PM until 7:00 AM, schedule to be determined
• Uses GE equipment, PACS, and Epic EMR

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience required for consideration as a first-time traveler
• BLS, RDCS, and CCI RCS certifications required (either specialty cert accepted)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Valid compact state license must be in hand at time of submission (license required if applicable)
• Skilled in adult echo including 2-D, 3-D, color doppler, bubble study, contrast imaging, M-mode, pharmacologic and treadmill stress echo, portable studies, RVIT/RVOT, and TEE
• Skilled in pediatric echo including 2-D, color doppler, continuous wave and pulsed wave doppler, M-mode, portable studies, RVIT/RVOT, routine studies, scanning complex anomalies, and post-surgical repairs
• Experience with pediatric anomalies preferred, including aortic arch abnormalities, coarctation of the aorta, coronary artery anomalies, hypoplastic heart syndrome, tetralogy of Fallot, and transposition of the great vessels
• Experience following isolation precautions/PPE and performing procedures in ICU/ED settings
• Familiarity with McKesson preferred

Additional Information

• Perform comprehensive adult and pediatric echocardiographic studies across acute care, outpatient, and critical care settings
• Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities within the region
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the offer process; requests made post-offer may not be accommodated
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years are required prior to start
• Former Providence employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility may be accepted at a lower bill rate
