Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift position requiring 1+ years of L&D experience and a CO or compact RN license.

Details

• Women's and Infants Labor & Delivery unit with 19 rooms
• Night shift, 3x12-hour rotating shifts (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Weekend shifts required per unit needs
• On-call requirements per unit needs
• Float required within the Women and Infant Unit and potentially within the metro region per facility needs
• Uses Epic charting system
• Navy scrub color required

Requirements

• Active CO or compact RN license required
• Certifications required: AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive care across labor, delivery, antepartum, and postpartum stages
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and high-risk deliveries
• Manage medication administration including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and antihypertensives
• Perform newborn care including APGAR scoring and radiant warmer thermoregulation
• Utilize external and internal fetal monitoring, including IUPC placement
• Support antepartum procedures such as NST, OCT, and sterile vaginal exams
• Provide postpartum care including lactation support and wound assessment
• Complete all facility-specific training modules within the first week of assignment
• Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract, with blackout dates during certain holiday and high-census periods
• No blocked scheduling requests permitted
• Candidates previously employed by UCHealth or its affiliates must disclose this information
• Candidates who applied to UCHealth internal travel or staff positions within the last two years are ineligible
• Returning travelers who completed a full year on assignment must wait at least one year before rebooking
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility are accepted
