Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a peri-op position requiring a KS or compact license and prior charge experience.

Details

• Work in the Operating Room unit of a hospital setting
• Peri-operative patient care
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• On-call required Monday through Thursday from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, alternating 1st and 2nd call
• Meditech charting system experience preferred
• Required to float to other units when short staffed
• No block scheduling greater than three or four shifts

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
• Minimum 3 years of overall nursing experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Trauma Level I hospital experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required

Additional Information

• Must reside within a 45-mile radius of the facility
• Local candidates are not accepted
• Expect to work some holidays during the assignment
• Keep RTO requests to a minimum, especially avoiding time off in the first two weeks or full calendar weeks off during the assignment
• Any RTO must be approved and documented prior to the start of the assignment
• Must complete a lab visit within 24 hours after signing, including a negative 13-panel drug screen within 30 days
