Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology role, requiring vascular experience and ARRT certification.

Details

• Level II Trauma and Level I Pediatric Trauma short-term acute care hospital with 615 staffed beds
• Interventional Radiology unit with 4 procedure rooms, 3 equipped with biplane imaging (3 Siemens, 1 GE)
• Wide case variety including stroke intervention, neurointerventions, PE thrombectomy and thrombolysis, DVT interventions, pain management, and oncology procedures (Y-90, MAAs, chemoembolizations)
• Daily caseload of 20-30 per tech
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• Weekend work required
• On-call required 8-10 days per month with one Saturday shift monthly, 30-minute response time, on-call sleep rooms available
• Potential to float within scope to meet facility needs
• Cerner EMR used

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year vascular experience required; 2 years overall experience preferred
• BLS and ARRT certification required (ARRT R and ARRT VI); ARRT Advanced Cert preferred
• Florida license required if applicable
• Community hospital and Trauma Level I experience required; teaching hospital and Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Prior travel experience required
• Skills required in PACS, contrast administration, and biopsies
• Experience required with stents, ablations, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrostomy, kyphoplasty, peripheral and upper/lower extremity studies, abdominal/pelvic studies, vascular studies, neurological studies, and stroke thrombectomy
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination required, with medical or religious exemptions accepted

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include equipment setup, EKG lead placement, prepping access sites, monitoring, and maintaining sterile field as scrub or circulator
• Skills utilized include vascular closure systems, venous access, central line care, and various IR procedures across genitourinary, abdominal/pelvic, vascular, and neurological specialties
• Uses GE Innova IGS and Siemens imaging equipment along with ultrasound
• Scrub color required is black or navy
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rate
• No RTO permitted during contract
• Former BayCare employees must wait at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
