Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience in a Trauma Level II diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab setting.

Details

• Diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab with 2 procedure rooms
• Adult to geriatric patient population
• 5x8 hour day shifts, either 7:00 AM-3:30 PM or 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
• Every other weekend rotation unless otherwise specified
• Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed
• Call requirement as part of a 4-person call team with 3 rotating teams
• Uses Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR systems

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab required
• Trauma Level II experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and CCI RCIS certifications required
• ARRT-R preferred
• State license required if applicable
• Epic experience preferred
• Prior travel experience required
• Skilled in cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic and left/right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, stent placement, IABP and Impella insertion, pacemaker insertion, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Experience with vascular studies/procedures including angioplasty, embolization, IVC filter placement, and endovascular interventions
• Proficient in EKG lead placement, access site prep, vascular closure systems, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
• Skilled in sterile technique, scrubbing, circulating, and equipment setup/maintenance
• Experience with Philips imaging equipment, ultrasound, and PACS

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
• Perform EP studies including cardioversion and tilt table studies
• Work in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath labs, including hybrid OR settings
• Follow infection control and sterile technique protocols
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, finalized at time of consideration
• Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within assignment period
• First-time travelers not accepted for this position
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Previous Piedmont staff must be separated for one full year before returning as a traveler
• Returning travelers who cancelled or were released must complete one assignment outside Piedmont before reapplying
