Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for an ICU position requiring at least 2 years of Level 1 ICU experience and MO or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Medical Intensive Care Unit of a hospital environment
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 19:00-07:00 over a 13-week contract
• Every other weekend required unless staffing allows for less, with accommodations for those wanting more weekend shifts
• No call requirements
• Floating required between ICU and Telemetry units
• Meditech EMR experience strongly preferred
• Navy blue scrubs required for this unit

Requirements

• Active RN license (Missouri or Compact) required at time of consideration
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required, with Level 1 Trauma Center experience needed for first-time travelers
• Skills required include Impella and balloon pump experience, stroke care, and STEMI care
• Experience with ventilator management, arterial line management, central line care, and continuous IV sedation
• Proficiency in titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Experience with CVA/acute stroke management and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive critical care nursing including respiratory, cardiac, neurological, renal, and endocrine management
• Care for patients requiring IV insulin protocols, TPN/lipids, and blood product administration
• First-time travelers considered if they meet the 2 years Level 1 ICU experience requirement
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Block scheduling not guaranteed but more accommodating for weekend blocks
