Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU float pool position requiring critical care experience and PALS/NRP certification.

Details

• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:30
• Float pool position within Doernbecher Children's Hospital pediatric units, primarily PICU and NICU
• Patient ratio of 1-2:4 in the PICU
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Floating required across pediatric units including PACS, PACM, PIMC, Hem/Onc, PICU, and NICU based on need
• May float to a nearby affiliate hospital as needed
• Care provided to pediatric patients with acute, intermediate, oncology, neonatal, and critical care needs

Requirements

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact) currently in hand
• Active OR RN license required
• Current certifications: BCLS, NRP, and PALS
• Minimum 1 year of critical care experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• COVID vaccination proof required with no exemptions accepted

Additional Information

• Work within a Magnet-recognized children's hospital caring for pediatric patients across a wide spectrum of acuity levels
• Must be available to work at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day)
• First time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate with no radius restriction
• RTO must be submitted with application and cannot exceed 2 weeks
• Former OHSU employees or travelers must have been gone at least 6 months to be eligible to return
• Refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation
