Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring active IL RN license and telemetry stepdown experience.
Details
- 24-bed Progressive Care stepdown unit in an acute care hospital setting
- Level 2 trauma center
- Patient ratios of 1:3 to 1:4 depending on acuity
- Patient population includes dysrhythmias, cardiopulmonary conditions, sepsis, high flow O2 needs, and behavioral patients requiring IV drip medications
- Administers medication drips including dopamine, levophed, cardizem, heparin, precedex, nitro, amio, dobutamine, and nicardipine
- 12-hour night shifts
- May be required to work up to every other weekend
- Uses EPIC EMR system
- High patient throughput typical of stepdown units
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- BSN not required
Additional Information
- Unit educator works closely with staff to provide support
- Provide telemetry and stepdown nursing care to a medically complex patient population
