Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of specialty experience and ARRT (R) certification to perform routine CT exams and abscess drainages.

Details

• Radiology/Cardiology CT department in an adult acute care and outpatient setting with Level II Trauma Center exposure
• 13-week assignment with 2x12 hour day shifts, 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM on Saturdays and Sundays
• Must be willing to flex to 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays when needed
• No on-call requirements
• No block scheduling available
• Uses GE Revolution Apex and GE Revolution ES CT scanners with PACS system
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• ARRT (R) and BLS certification required; ARRT (CT) preferred
• License required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of CT work experience required
• Experience with routine CT exams required; willingness to learn CT abscess drainages required
• Skills in image display and post-processing, including 3D rendering, MPR, and ROI measurement
• Experience with abdomen and pelvis studies, including contrast and colorectal studies
• Experience with head and neck imaging, including carotid and trauma head studies
• Experience with spine and musculoskeletal imaging, including trauma cases
• Experience with chest imaging, including cardiac and vascular chest studies
• Proficient in isolation precautions/PPE, contrast media administration, radiation safety, IV starts, and venipuncture
• Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
• CT guided interventional procedure experience preferred

Additional Information

• Perform routine CT exams and CT abscess drainages, with willingness to learn drainage procedures if not already trained
• Any scrub color accepted
• First-time travelers accepted
• RTO must be submitted at time of application and cannot be added afterward
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a differential rate
• PA fingerprinting is required and may involve travel exceeding 100 miles; must be completed within one week of contract signing
• Labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing
• Pass/Fail clinical exam required prior to clearance, with a maximum of 3 attempts
