Description

American Traveler is hiring a Multimodality CT/X-Ray Technologist with 2+ years of experience to work in a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital.

Details

• Multimodality technologist role covering both CT and X-Ray
• 3x12 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirement
• Possible float to like units within scope
• Uses Siemens equipment and PACS
• Epic charting system experience required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in CT and X-Ray
• ARRT certification in both Radiography (R) and Computed Tomography (CT) required
• BLS and ACLS certification required (ACLS may be pending, must obtain within 2-3 weeks of hire)
• SC license required if applicable
• Experience in Emergency, Trauma, Pediatrics, and Orthopedic exams in both modalities highly preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Proficiency in image display and post-processing including 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and ROI measurement preferred
• Experience with abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine/musculoskeletal, and chest CT exams
• Coronary and vascular CTA experience preferred
• Skilled in contrast media preparation and administration, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture
• Radiation safety and isolation precaution knowledge required
• Must provide own radiation badge

Additional Information

• Level 1 Trauma, Magnet-designated teaching hospital
• Provide quality imaging and patient care while clearly explaining procedures to patients
• Produce diagnostic images for interpretation by licensed practitioners
• Scrub color requirement: teal blue top, black bottoms
• First-time travelers accepted but not preferred
• Previous MUSC staff (including PRN) must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application for consideration
• 60-mile radius rule applies
• Local candidates considered on a case-by-case basis at a reduced rate
• Travelers may be assigned to emergency response duties during hurricane season (June through November)
