Description
American Traveler is hiring a Level IV Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift position requiring advanced NRP certification and prior L&D experience.
Details
- Level IV Women & Infants Hospital setting
- 15-bed Labor & Delivery unit, 20-bed High Risk Unit, and 8-bed OB Triage
- Night shift 19:00-07:30, 36 hours per week
- Every third weekend and holiday rotation required
- Possibility to float to a nearby L&D unit if needed
- Charge nurse duties in both L&D and High Risk Unit, plus baby nurse for deliveries
Requirements
- Active IN RN license or compact license required
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA)
- Advanced NRP certification required (AHA/American Academy of Pediatrics)
- Experience with fetal monitoring (AWHONN, Relias, or equivalent within past 2 years)
- Familiarity with magnesium and insulin drips
- Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
Additional Information
- Adheres to AWHONN staffing guidelines with 1:1 ratio in active labor and 2 patients in early/latent labor
- Two orientation shifts provided
- Strict attendance expectations with no tolerance for call-offs
- Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate
- Must provide full SS# and DOB for consideration
