Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift position at a critical access community hospital, requiring 2+ years of RRT experience and Cerner proficiency.

Details

• Critical access community hospital setting within the Respiratory Therapy department
• Patient population ranges from pediatric to geriatric
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend required, with holiday coverage as needed
• No on-call requirements
• Compact license not accepted

Requirements

• Active RRT certification through NBRC required
• Minimum 2 years of current Registered Respiratory Therapy experience required
• CRTs will not be considered for this position
• Must be able to work independently with ventilators, various PAP modalities, Hi-flow O2, and perform PFTs
• Willingness to learn new skills such as home sleep testing and Pulmonary Rehab required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Vermont RRT license required (license required if applicable)
• BLS certification through AHA required
• At least 6 months of previous travel experience highly preferred
• Supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required
• Must have own vehicle for this assignment

Additional Information

• Work independently with invasive/non-invasive ventilation, draw ABGs, and perform airway management including assisting with intubations
• Set up and operate various respiratory care equipment under supervision of the Technical Director of Respiratory Therapy and per physician request
• Function independently while addressing varying degrees of patient care problems across care areas
• Business casual dress or personal scrubs of any color permitted
• Must work two required holiday blocks: Thanksgiving Day through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and the following weekend
• RTO requests must be submitted and verified at time of profile submission; no more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted
• Call-offs must be communicated to the unit supervisor at least 1.5 hours in advance
• Facility enforces a 3-strike rule for attendance call-offs, which may result in contract termination
• Not suitable for candidates seeking to work this assignment in conjunction with another permanent placement or travel assignment
• Schedule accommodation requests, such as block scheduling, will not be considered
