Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring a UT or compact license and 2+ years of ICU experience.

Details

• ICU/PCU unit in a 39-bed Level IV Trauma Center hospital
• 6-bed unit caring for a lifespan patient population
• Patient ratios of 1-2:1
• Common diagnoses include DKA, hypertensive crisis, COPD exacerbations, and pneumonia
• Uses Linet beds and Zoll defibrillators
• Charting in Medhost EHR
• Night shift schedule 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM with every other weekend required
• Floating required
• No call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (UT or compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills required

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing in a fast-paced ICU/PCU setting
• Monthly orientation held during the 2nd full week of the month, Monday through Thursday
• Solid-colored scrubs required
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
