Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a NICU/Pediatrics night shift position requiring 2+ years of Level 3 NICU and pediatric experience.

• NICU and Pediatrics unit within Respiratory Therapy department
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 18:30-07:00, various days of week
• Weekend requirement per unit needs
• No on-call requirement
• Epic charting system used
• Performs neonatal transports

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Level 3 NICU and pediatric experience
• NICU experience required in work history
• RRT certification required
• State license required if applicable
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• Trauma Level II experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provides respiratory care in Level 3 NICU and pediatric settings
• Performs procedures including intubation assist, CPAP/BiPAP, oscillating and pressure/volume ventilator management
• Manages care for conditions such as ARDS, RDS, RSV, and Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia
• Assists in high-risk deliveries and neonatal transports
• Performs chest physiotherapy, ABG interpretation, and airway suctioning
• Scrub requirement: gray top, black bottoms
• First-time travelers accepted if they meet required experience
• Accepts local candidates within a 75-mile radius at local bill rate
• Maximum 10 RTO days per 13-week contract, with blackout periods during high-need dates
• Candidates previously employed by the health system or affiliates must disclose prior employment
• Return travelers who completed a full year on assignment may not be rebooked for at least one year
