Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a tertiary care hospital, requiring 1+ year of IR experience and Epic charting proficiency.
Details
- Work in the Interventional Radiology unit of a 528-bed tertiary care hospital
- 5x8 hour or 4x10 hour day shifts, working either 9:30 AM-6:00 PM or 7:30 AM-6:00 PM
- Weekday call one shift per week from 5:30/6:00 PM to 7:00 AM the following morning, Monday through Thursday
- Rotating weekend call from Friday 5:30/6:00 PM through Monday 7:00 AM
- May float to other areas as needed
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience required
- IR, Neuro, and Vascular experience preferred, Cath Lab experience not required
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Epic charting experience required
- Trauma Level I hospital experience preferred
- NY state license required if applicable
- Proficiency with procedures such as angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, IVC filter placement/removal, chemoembolization, nephrostomy, and vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
- Experience with equipment setup, room circulating, and scrub duties maintaining sterile field
- Prior travel healthcare experience required
Additional Information
- Scrubs in any combination of navy and white required
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate
- Candidates with more than 10 days of requested time off will not be considered
- Previous employees must wait 6 months system-wide before returning
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
