Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with Level II trauma experience and DaVinci robotic surgery expertise for a full-service surgical unit.

Details

• Level II Trauma Center Operating Room in a nonprofit short-term acute care facility with 385 staffed beds
• Handles high acuity ortho, neuro, and general cases at all times of day
• Unit runs 20-22 rooms per day with 60-70 cases daily
• 4x10 hour day shift schedule from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM
• On-call required, up to four 8-hour shifts per 4-week cycle
• No floating required outside the unit
• Uses DaVinci Xi and DaVinci 5 robotic systems (4 active robot rooms), Doppler, Ultrasound, Neptune, Aquamantis, video systems, lasers, various stapling systems, Hana and Jackson tables, Neuro beds with attachments, and cryoablation equipment
• Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements

• Active or pending Washington RN license accepted
• BLS and PALS certifications required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Level I-II trauma OR experience required (3 years preferred)
• Well-rounded circulating experience across Ortho, Neuro, Gen/Trauma, Vascular, Endovascular/Hybrid, GYN/Uro, ENT/Plastics, Eyes, and Robotics specialties
• DaVinci and DaVinci 5 robotic surgery experience required along with laparoscopic case experience
• 2 years of Ortho experience including total joints required
• 2 years of Level 2 Neuro experience including craniotomies required
• 1 year of Epic experience required
• Must be comfortable independently circulating major cases in a full-service operating room
• Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Two supervisor references from the past 2 years required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Serve as a well-rounded circulator willing to assist across all surgical specialties
• Scrub experience is a plus
• Scrubs provided onsite

• Local candidates within 60 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Previous PeaceHealth employees must have been separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a travancer
• RTO must be disclosed at submission and approved before contract signing, with up to 7 RTO days for regular offers
• Candidates with more than one DUI are not eligible for consideration
• Start date may be delayed up to 8 weeks if licensure is still in process
• May occasionally float to University District when operationally necessary
