Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT certification for a Level I Trauma Center and teaching hospital.

Details

• MRI Tech unit within a Level I Trauma Center and teaching hospital setting
• 3x12 hour day shifts, Saturday and Sunday 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM and Monday 12:30 PM - 10:00 PM
• No on-call requirements
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Performs a broad range of MRI procedures across abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, and cardiovascular imaging
• Works with GE, Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba MRI equipment and PACS

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a fully trained MRI technologist
• ARRT certification required, ARRT MR preferred
• AHA BLS certification required (AHA is the only accepted certifying body)
• License required if applicable
• Community hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Skilled in preparation/administration of contrast media, radiation safety, isolation precautions/PPE, and starting peripheral IVs
• Experience with abdominal, head/neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal MRI procedures
• Cardiovascular MRI skills such as MR Angio, MR Aortogram, and MR Cardiac studies preferred

Additional Information

• General orientation begins on Mondays with online computer-based learning modules
• Orientation includes approximately 4-5 hours of non-billable modules completed via electronic transcripts
• Candidates must reside 100+ miles from the facility's service area; local candidates are not accepted
• Drug test must be completed 12-14 calendar days prior to start, with availability for a possible second lab visit
• Relias EKG testing must be completed within 72 hours of signing, allowing up to two attempts
• Facial hair must be trimmed or removed to meet CDC fit testing guidelines
• First-time travelers are not being considered for this role due to the fully trained technologist requirement
