Description
American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN with at least 1 year of inpatient experience and Epic charting proficiency for a 13-week assignment.
Details
- Medical Surgical unit with telemetry monitored via a centralized station
- Day shift, 4x12 hour schedule (7:00-19:30), with 36 or 48 hour options
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Free floating charge nurse and house discharge nurse floats across all departments
- Float required to units of equal or lesser acuity
- Uses Epic charting system
Requirements
- Active TX or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient Med/Surg experience required
- Recent Epic charting experience within the last 6 months preferred
- Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response
- Experience with isolation precautions/PPE, IV therapy/phlebotomy, peripheral line care, and nasal cannula respiratory support
Additional Information
- Care for a Med/Surg patient population requiring telemetry monitoring
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered; local candidates not accepted
- Former staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- No more than 3 days of RTO auto-approved, and no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
- Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this assignment
