Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring at least 1 year of recent MS/Tele experience and BLS certification.

Details

• 46-bed clinical decision unit (B5N) functioning as an extension of the Emergency Department for patients requiring up to 48 hours of observation
• Patient population includes diverse diagnoses such as electrolyte imbalance, anemia, chest pain, transient ischemic attack, and infection
• RN to patient ratio of 1:4-6
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:30
• Every other weekend required, but not guaranteed
• Floating required within scope, with priority given to West Valley Hospital
• Epic charting system used
• Block scheduling not accommodated

Requirements

• Active or pending Oregon RN license required
• BLS certification through AHA required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in MS/Tele required
• Required skills include management of telemetry, interpretation and management of cardiac dysrhythmias, O2 protocol, non-invasive airway management, peripheral line care/management, isolation precautions/PPE, rapid response team activation, and computerized documentation
• Epic charting experience required

• Facility is a Short Term Acute Care hospital with Magnet designation, teaching status, and Level II Trauma Center recognition
• Royal blue scrubs required

• RTO requests exceeding 2 weeks require approval and must be finalized at time of consideration

• Former employees of the health system are not eligible until 6 months have passed since their termination date
• Up to 8 hours of non-billable orientation modules required prior to start and annually thereafter
