Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring an active OR RN license and recent MS/Tele experience.

Details

• Work in a 46-bed clinical decision unit (B5N) functioning as an extension of the Emergency Department for patients requiring up to 48 hours of observation
• Exposure to diverse diagnoses including electrolyte imbalance, anemia, chest pain, transient ischemia, and infection
• Patient ratios of RN 1:4-6 and CNA 1:6-13 on days and 1:10-13 on nights
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating required within the facility and to nearby affiliated West Valley Hospital
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active Oregon RN license required (pending licensure accepted at time of submission)
• Current BLS certification through AHA
• Minimum 1 year of MS/Tele experience within the last 3 years
• Required skills include telemetry management, cardiac rhythm interpretation, dysrhythmia management, O2 protocol, non-invasive airway management, peripheral line care, isolation precautions/PPE, rapid response team activation, and computerized documentation
• Epic charting experience required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care for MS/Tele patients including monitoring, treatment, and coordination for discharge or admission decisions
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Facility is a Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with Level II Trauma Center status

• Requests for time off exceeding 2 weeks require approval and must be finalized prior to consideration
• Former employees of the health system are ineligible for assignments until 6 months after termination date
• Up to 8 hours of non-billable orientation modules required prior to start and annually thereafter
