Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring Level I Trauma experience and ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown) within a Level I Trauma hospital
• Patient population includes adult trauma/surgical, orthopedic/ortho trauma, neurological/psychiatric, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury cases
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:30
• Float required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals
• Expected to work 3 of 5 winter holidays

Requirements

• Active RN license (KY State or Compact) required at time of consideration
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required; TNCC preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Progressive Care required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Adult Trauma/Surgical unit experience required
• Experience with wound care and wound vac management
• Clean licensure record required; any license hits will not be accepted

Additional Information

• Provide progressive care nursing to trauma, surgical, orthopedic, and neurological patients
• Local candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Return staff must be separated from all UK-affiliated facilities for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
• RTO must be disclosed at time of consideration; requests made after offer will not be approved
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
