Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 1+ years of experience in adult and pediatric acute care and emergency department imaging for a Level II trauma center.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting with a Level II Adult trauma designation and 514 staffed beds
• CT Tech position covering pediatric to geriatric patient populations
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 17:00 to 5:30
• Block scheduling available depending on unit needs, with weekend requirements dependent on block
• No on-call requirements
• Average daily census of 450 patients
• May float within scope to sister facilities including Cape Canaveral, Palm Bay, or Viera
• Uses PACS and Phillips equipment, with GE experience preferred
• Sunrise EMR preferred but not required for charting

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a CT Technologist required
• Current BLS and ARRT certification required
• Active Florida state license required at time of consideration (license required if applicable)
• Pending licenses not accepted
• Adult and pediatric acute care experience required
• Emergency Department experience required
• Experience with abdomen and pelvis CT with and/or without contrast required
• Experience with vascular chest and chest CT with and/or without contrast required
• Experience with head, neck, spine, and musculoskeletal imaging required
• 3D rendering experience required
• Experience with isolation precautions required
• Experience with preparation and/or administration of contrast media required
• Biopsy experience required
• First-time travelers accepted

Additional Information

• Perform CT imaging across a wide range of studies including abdomen, pelvis, chest, head, neck, spine, and musculoskeletal
• Assist with biopsies and contrast media administration as needed
• Solid-colored scrub tops and bottoms required with no mixing, logos, or prints
• Free parking with decal provided at orientation
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers with no mile radius restrictions
• Finalized RTO must be submitted with initial application, as RTO will not be accepted after offer
• Previous staff, employees, or contracted travelers must wait one year after leaving an internal contracted position before reapplying
