Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring 2+ years of ED experience and prior travel assignment history.
Details
- Work in a 25-bed general medical and surgical hospital's emergency department
- Rural/small facility setting serving the only 24/7 ED in the county
- Treats a wide range of emergencies including trauma, cardiac events, burns, poisonings, and violence-related injuries
- Department includes two triage rooms, six treatment rooms, two trauma rooms, dedicated pediatric and psychiatric rooms, and a decontamination area
- Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with a 36-hour weekly guarantee
- Every other weekend required with holiday rotation
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Active NH or Compact RN license required in-hand at time of consideration
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (all American Heart Association)
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
- Minimum 3 months of previous travel assignment experience required
- Rural or small facility experience required
- TNCC certification highly preferred
- Must have a personal vehicle for this assignment
Additional Information
- Provide emergency care including diagnosis, treatment, stabilization, and transfer coordination for a wide range of medical emergencies
- Work alongside physicians, nurses, and paramedics specially trained in emergency medicine
- Must be available to work two required holiday blocks: Thanksgiving through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and the following weekend
- RTO requests limited to no more than 5 days and must be submitted and verified prior to assignment start; requests made after offer will not be approved
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
