Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of recent Cath Lab experience and RCIS, RCVT, or RCES certification.
Details
- Cardiac Cath Lab performing minimally invasive cardiac procedures with a full-service Electrophysiology (EP) program
- May be assigned to support other Cardiovascular departments including Cath Lab, Electrophysiology (EP), and Cath Holding
- Shifts include 5x8 and 4x10 schedules with varying start times between 7a-7p
- Scheduled for 40 hours per week; some shifts may extend beyond 8 hours based on procedural volume and overtime should be expected
- Rotating weekday, weekend, and holiday call required, averaging approximately 12 call days per month
- Must be willing to cover two of the three winter holidays
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Cath Lab experience required
- Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program leading toward Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist registry
- ARRT candidates will not be considered
- Current BLS and ACLS certification required
- One of the following current credentials required: RCIS, RCVT, or RCES
- VA or compact license required if applicable
- EKG/tele testing required with a minimum 80% passing score; no remediation available
Additional Information
- Perform minimally invasive cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures
- Located in the Coastal Virginia region near Virginia Beach and Norfolk, offering access to outdoor recreation
- Longer assignments through January 9, 2027 are available but not required
- Candidates with any prior license or background hits will not be considered
- PAPR fit testing cannot be accommodated; any history of fit test issues will eliminate candidates from consideration
- Requested time off must be submitted and will be reviewed and approved on a case-by-case basis
- RN candidates must live 50+ miles from the facility to be considered; allied candidates may be considered regardless of distance
