Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring CA RN licensure and ACLS/PALS certification for night shift work.

Details

• Emergency Department setting within a hospital network
• Night shift, 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
• 36 or 48 hours per week as determined by the manager
• ER and ICU experience preferred as some floating may be needed
• EPIC EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the State of California
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• At least 1 year of RN experience within the last 24 months and acute critical care experience within the last 12 months, or EMT/ED Tech experience with a minimum of 2 years in good standing
• Minimum 3 years of specialty experience for ER required
• Basic computer skills required
• No prior negative licensure actions allowed

Additional Information

• MICN certification desired to be completed within one year of hire
• MICN, NRP, TNCC, and CEN certifications encouraged and recommended
• Must comply with all HIPAA and confidentiality regulations
• Position requires frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, reaching, standing, walking, and repetitive hand motions
• Occasional lifting, pulling, pushing, or transferring of patients required
• All required vaccinations must be up to date as a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions considered
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will be automatically declined
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates with no radius restriction
• Travelers may only be placed at one facility within the health system at a time
