Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Salt Lake City, UT, requiring a UT or compact RN license and ACLS certification.

Details

  • 24-bed ICU with 46 staff members
  • Patient ratios of 1:2, with 1:3 for PCU boarders and 1:1 for sitters or higher acuity cases (IABP, CRRT, open hearts)
  • Unit secretary/tech support available during day shift when census exceeds 10 patients
  • Documentation via EPIC
  • Scheduling is straight nights or 50/50 rotation
  • 3 weekend shifts required within a 4 week period
  • Floating required to PCU or anywhere in the hospital inpatient setting as a sitter
  • Performs procedures including rapid sequence intubations, central line placements, bronchoscopy, arterial line placement, and chest tube placement
  • Experience with ventilators, vasopressors, restraint use, and arterial lines required

Requirements

  • Active UT or compact RN license required
  • ACLS certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required, though 1 year of strong experience may be considered
  • No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

  • Outgoing, team-oriented personality preferred
  • Scrub color/attire: Caribbean Blue
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted, no exceptions
