Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical ICU position requiring at least three years of specialty experience and BLS certification.

Details

• Work in the Medical ICU unit of an acute care hospital
• Variable schedule of 36-48 hours per week, mostly night shifts (1900-0730)

Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of practice required
• BLS certification from an approved vendor required
• BSN preferred
• Acute care facility experience preferred
• Minimum of three years of ICU experience required
• No prior disciplinary action on license permitted

Additional Information

• Deliver coordinated nursing care to assigned patients following established standards of care and the nursing process
• Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff and coordinate care with other disciplines
• Collect and analyze patient data to determine diagnoses and develop care plans
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure safe, humane, and caring treatment
• Provide patient and family education and participate in discharge planning
• Delegate tasks and coordinate duties among healthcare team members
• Required vaccinations per organizational policy, with medical and religious exemptions available
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate as traveler positions
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will not be considered
