Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a role split evenly between CT and X-ray duties, requiring ARRT registration and 2+ years of experience.
Details
- Urgent care setting performing both CT and X-ray procedures on a 50/50 basis
- Must be willing to float to perform X-rays up to half of scheduled time
- 4x10 hour day shifts per week
- Performs computed tomography and radiographic procedures including head, spine, chest, abdominal, and pelvis imaging
- Administers contrast media and performs venipunctures as required
- Assists licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and interventional radiography procedures
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience required
- Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program required
- ARRT registration as a CT Technologist required
- Current BLS certification required
- License required if applicable
- Must be able to perform venipunctures and administer contrast media per institutional policy
Additional Information
- Corroborates patient clinical history and ensures documentation is available for the interpreting practitioner
- Prepares and positions patients for procedures while minimizing anxiety and radiation exposure
- Evaluates images for technical quality and maintains proper archival storage of digitized data
- Practices aseptic technique and observes universal precautions
- Provides patient education throughout procedures
- CRASE training preferred, and required if assignment extends beyond 6 months
- Supports facility mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures
