Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring an active IL RN license and NRP certification.
Details
- Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital setting
- Provides inpatient obstetric care including intrapartum labor, delivery, and surgical delivery support
- Monitors fetal well-being and administers medication specific to the obstetric patient population
- Night shift schedule: 3x12, 7:00p-7:30a
- Works every other weekend with holiday coverage on a rotation basis
- Floating required
- EPIC charting experience required
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- Level 1 Trauma facility experience required
- EPIC EMR charting experience required
Additional Information
- Performs initial patient assessments and develops individualized plans of care based on patient and family needs
- Provides patient education specific to the obstetric population
- Maintains accurate nursing documentation to support continuity of care across the healthcare team
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Contingent workers may not work continuously for more than 1 year at this health system without a 6-month break in service before returning
- 30-day advance notice required to cancel once an assignment has started
