Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2 years of recent MS/Tele experience and a CO or compact RN license.
Details
- Med/Surg Tele unit assignment
- Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 18:00-6:30)
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Call requirement of 2 shifts per month, which may fall on days or nights depending on unit needs
- Uses Pyxis medication system and Amrita documentation system
- Any scrub color accepted
Requirements
- Active RN license (CO or compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Minimum 2 years of recent MS/Tele, Cardiac Tele, or Tele experience required
- Skills in IV therapy/phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration
- Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and telemetry unit monitoring
- Experience with respiratory care including HFNC, ABG interpretation, oxygen administration, and tracheostomy care
- Experience with heparin protocols and titrating cardiac drips
- Experience with IV insulin protocols and insulin drip titration
- Experience with wound care/wound vac and isolation precautions/PPE
- Any charting system experience accepted
Additional Information
- Provide care to Med/Surg and telemetry patients, including cardiac, CVA, and neurological/psychiatric cases
- RTO requests require manager approval
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
