Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Endoscopy unit requiring advanced intraprocedure endoscopy experience and a SC or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in the Endoscopy department of a hospital setting
- Mon-Fri schedule, 0700-1530, 8-hour shifts
- Requires taking 2-3 weekday calls and coverage every 4th weekend
- Uses Cerner for charting
- Floating to a nearby sister hospital may be required
Requirements
- Active RN license (SC or NCSBN compact) required; must not be a permanent resident of SC
- Current BLS certification (AHA only) required
- ACLS required for positions in the Pain Management Clinic
- Graduate of an accredited school or college of nursing
- BSN highly desired
- Advanced endoscopy intraprocedure experience required
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and emergency response skills required
- Ability to lift/move patients and perform frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
Additional Information
- Provide direct nursing care to endoscopy patients, applying professional nursing theory to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Collaborate closely with physicians, hospital staff, and patients' families
- Exposure to blood, body fluids, and infectious materials is common in this role
- May be required to work under stressful conditions, deadlines, or irregular hours
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Travel assignments limited to one calendar year from the initial start date, followed by a required 30-60 day break before returning
- Weekend and holiday coverage may be required based on department needs
