Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology role requiring ARRT certification and 2+ years of IR experience.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within the Interventional Radiology department
• Level II Adult Trauma facility with 514 staffed beds
• Community hospital and outpatient setting with ER and Trauma Level I experience required
• 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday to Friday, 7:15 AM to 5:45 PM
• Rotating evening/weekend call with 30-minute response time for emergent procedures
• Weekend call begins the first week, then rotates on an every-other-weekend basis
• On-call commitment is approximately 33% of the month, roughly 10-14 shifts depending on team RTO
• Weekday call runs from end of shift (~5:45 PM) until 7:15 AM the next day
• Saturday is a scheduled workday when applicable with call starting after shift; Sunday is call-only
• Holiday coverage required
• May float within scope to sister facilities based on facility needs
• Uses Allscripts for charting, with Epic experience preferred
• Uses Xper and Philips imaging equipment, PACS, and fluoroscopy

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience required
• Florida state or compact RAD tech license required at time of consideration (license required if applicable)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• ARRT certification required (ARRT advanced certification preferred)
• Fluoro Permit preferred
• Experience with G-tube placement, central line placement, and chemo procedures required
• Cardiac stent placement experience required
• X-ray experience required
• Experience with portables and contrast administration required
• Community hospital and outpatient experience required
• ER and Trauma Level I experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred

Additional Information

• Perform a range of IR procedures including angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, chest tube placement, gastrostomy tube placement, IVC filter placement, liver biopsy, and vascular studies
• Support cardiac cath lab procedures including cardiac stent placement and hemodynamic monitoring
• First few nights of orientation include buddy call with the manager, followed by call with another full-time team member
• Scrubs must be a solid, matching color with no logos or prints
• Free parking with decal provided at orientation
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted at the same travel rate with no radius restriction
• Former Health First employees or contracted travelers must have a one-year separation before returning
• Flu vaccine required with medical or religious exemptions only
