Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience in cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures for a community hospital setting.
Details
- Work in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab
- Schedule rotates between 4x10-hour day shifts (7:00 AM-5:30 PM) for 5 weeks, followed by 1 week of 5x8-hour day shifts (8:00 AM-4:30 PM)
- Call requirements include 12-14 days per 6-week period, plus 1-2 weekends per 6-week period
- Must live within 30 minutes of the facility for call requirements
- Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
- Uses GE Innova IGS and Siemens equipment
- Epic charting system experience preferred
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in cardiac cath lab and EP procedures
- ACLS and BLS certification required
- ARRT-R, CCI RCES, or CCI RCIS certification preferred; CVT also accepted
- Community hospital experience required
- Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
- License required if applicable
- Experience with diagnostic and left/right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, stent placement, and hemodynamic monitoring
- Experience with EP studies including AICD insertion/programming and pacemaker insertion preferred
- Impella insertion and rotablator atherectomy experience preferred
- Skilled in venous access, central line care and maintenance, and vascular studies/procedures
- Proficient in EKG lead placement, sterile field maintenance, and room circulator duties
- Two supervisory references (Manager level or above) required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include cardiac catheterization procedures, EP studies, vascular interventions, and hemodynamic monitoring
- Community hospital environment with support for diagnostic and interventional cardiac cases
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, and all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
- No RTO can be requested during orientation week
- If 1-2 major holidays fall during the assignment, coverage is required with no holiday RTO permitted; if 3 major holidays fall during the assignment, one holiday RTO request may be considered
- Former Piedmont perm/per diem/FCSS staff must be separated from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before applying as a traveler
- Travelers previously cancelled or deemed DNR by a Piedmont facility must complete one assignment outside of Piedmont before reapplying
- Full compliance required to start on time; non-compliance may result in a two-week delay due to biweekly orientation scheduling
