Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 13-week assignment, requiring ARRT (CT) certification and at least 2 years of experience.
Details
- 24-bed CAT Scan unit within a 472-bed acute care medical/surgical facility and healthcare complex
- Team includes radiologists, radiology techs, ultrasound techs, MRI techs, and CT techs
- Day shift staffed with director, radiologist, and 6-7 techs; night shift staffed with charge RN, on-call team, and 3-4 techs depending on volume
- Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2 depending on patient stability
- All GE equipment including MRI units, scanners, cameras, x-ray, and fluoroscopy
- Meditech EMR system used
- Schedule is Sunday through Tuesday, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Call requirements of 4-6 shifts per month on off days
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience required
- ARRT (CT) certification required
- BLS certification required
- Florida State DOH license required if applicable
- Strong preference for experience with GE equipment and Meditech EMR
- Strong communication skills, medical and anatomical knowledge, and mechanical aptitude required
- Ability to multi-task and work with a variety of physicians, radiologists, and patients
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- Two professional references required for Florida placements
- No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Perform CT scans, MRI, body scanner imaging, and X-rays
- Create diagnostic images of bones, organs, and tissues to assist in accurate patient assessments
- Facility specializes in cardiovascular care, neuroscience, oncology, orthopedics, bariatrics, and Women's Services
- Facility is a teaching hospital ranked among the best in the nation
- Black scrubs required, to be provided by the candidate
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates will be considered
