Description
American Traveler is hiring an ICU/Advanced Care RN with EMU monitoring experience for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring an active IL RN license.
Details
- Advanced Care/EMU unit within a hospital setting
- Monitors EMU patients for seizure activity
- Collaborates with critical care team and hospitalists for Advanced Care patients
- Day shift schedule, 7:00AM-7:30PM, 3 days per week (36 hours)
- No on-call requirements
- No floating required
- 5 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule period
- Every other holiday coverage required
- EPIC charting experience required
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing required (temporary license accepted)
- BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum of three years relevant nursing experience
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- EPIC charting experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Experience with nursing care documentation, EMU patient monitoring, seizure activity management, bedside shift report, and hourly rounding
Additional Information
- Responsible for a designated patient assignment, utilizing the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate care
- Performs initial patient assessments and develops individualized care plans
- Ensures accurate documentation and clear communication with patients and families through hourly rounding and bedside shift report
- Reports and corrects safety hazards to maintain patient and staff safety
- Collaborates with peers and interdisciplinary team members to support professional development
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Contingent workers may not remain on assignment at this health system for more than one year without a 6-month break in service
- Travel partners are not accepted for this position
