Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring an active MA RN license and at least 2 years of ED nursing experience.

Details

• 65-bed pod-based Emergency Department with a separate pediatric pod and a separate Acute Mental Health area
• All-age patient population with a census of approximately 230 visits per day
• Clinician to patient ratio of 1:4
• Uses EPIC (ASAP module) for charting
• 36 or 48 hour weekly schedule with Day/Evening/Night rotation and every other weekend required
• Day Rotate covers 7a-7p, 11a-11p, and 7p-7a shifts when requested, with low rotation frequency
• Night position does not rotate
• Floating required to the ED Observation wing (16 beds) and AMU (ED Psych Observation)

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required; pending or conditional licenses not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Nursing experience required
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• NRP and TNCC certifications strongly preferred
• General ED nursing skills required, including assessment, documentation, IV insertion, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point-of-care testing, splinting, critical thinking, and patient education

• Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of the facility and will receive a reduced pay rate
