Description

American Traveler is hiring a PCU/MedSurg Float RN for night shifts requiring PA or compact RN license, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Details

Float position between PCU and MedSurg units
PCU unit ratio is 5:1 and MedSurg unit ratio is 7:1
25 beds on each floor
Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 7:00
No block scheduling
No call requirements
Every other weekend and holiday required
Uses Meditech EMR system

Requirements

Active RN license (PA or Compact) currently in hand
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS

Additional Information

Provide nursing care across both PCU and MedSurg units as needed
Holiday coverage required on a rotating basis

Cons

Scheduling was sometimes hard to follow and they would wait until the week before to release the next schedule.
