Description
American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Cath Lab position requiring KY or compact licensure and two years of cath lab and EPIC experience.
Details
- Cath Lab unit performing left and right diagnostic and interventional heart caths, pacemaker and AICD implants, loop recorders, impellas, balloon pumps, TEEs, cardioversions, and tilt table procedures
- Cares for STEMI patients and performs peripheral IV access
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Uses IV pumps, groin and radial sheaths, impellas, balloon pumps, IVUS, ultrasound, fluoro, Zoll monitor, and hemodynamic system equipment
- EPIC charting required
- Day shift schedule from 0700 to 1730, three 12-hour shifts per week for 36 hours weekly
- Call required every 4th weekend plus 4-5 additional weeknight shifts within the same 4-week period
Requirements
- Active RN license (KY or Compact) currently in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
- Minimum two years of acute care RN experience required
- Minimum two years of cath lab experience required
- Minimum two years of EPIC charting experience required
Additional Information
- Perform patient assessments, develop and implement plans of care, and evaluate clinical interventions
- Provide patient and family education specific to care needs throughout treatment and at discharge
- Delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and serve as a mentor/preceptor
- Participate in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives within a Practice Governance framework
- Comply with regulatory standards and demonstrate strong teamwork skills
