Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience in coronary and peripheral vascular procedures for an acute care hospital assignment.
Details
- Acute care hospital cath lab supporting coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, and cardiac arrhythmia cases
- Daily caseload of 8-12 procedures including coronary diagnostic/interventional, peripheral diagnostic/interventional, and permanent pacemaker cases
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- No weekend requirement
- Call requirement applies
- No floating required, though travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities
- Epic EMR preferred
- Block schedule may be considered
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in cath lab procedures required
- ARRT-R, BLS, and ACLS certification required
- Fluoro Permit required; candidates with a pending permit may be considered if already applied for at time of consideration
- CCI RCIS preferred; RCIS acceptable with 5+ years of experience
- RCIS alone not accepted in place of ARRT
- License required if applicable
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Proficiency with fluoroscopy equipment and PACS system
- Experience with cardiac stent placement, diagnostic and left/right heart catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, permanent and temporary pacemaker insertion
- Experience maintaining sterile field, equipment set up, and accurate procedural monitoring

- First-time travelers accepted
- Local candidates accepted, though local rule applies at a lower bill rate
- 50-mile local radius rule in effect
- Orientation totals 30 hours
- RTO must be approved at time of consideration
- Returning former staff may be eligible after a 3-month waiting period, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years required
- Scrubs provided for OR/Cath Lab staff
