Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a Trauma Level II facility, requiring Cerner charting experience and proficiency in robotic (DaVinci XI) surgical procedures.
Details
- Operating Room unit within a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule (3x12 hours), 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
- Friday through Sunday schedule with no call requirements
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Supports a wide range of surgical specialties including orthopedic, spine/neuro, general/gyn, ENT, ophthalmology, pain management, urology, vascular, and trauma
- Utilizes Cerner charting system
- 3-4 days of orientation provided
Requirements
- Active RN license (TX or Compact) required
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- 2-3 years of OR experience strongly preferred
- 1 year minimum experience in profession required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Teaching hospital, community hospital, and LTAC experience required
- Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- Cerner charting experience required
- Experience with DaVinci XI robotic surgical system preferred
- Proficiency in multiple surgical specialties including vascular, orthopedic, neuro/spine, general surgery, cardiovascular, and gynecologic procedures preferred
- Two supervisor references from within the last 3 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide perioperative nursing care across a broad range of surgical specialties and procedures
- Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening, including marijuana testing, with immediate cancellation for positive results
- Candidates should avoid any substances, including CBD products, that could result in a positive drug screen
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility as local candidates are not accepted
- RTO must be submitted with candidate profile
- Document compliance deadline is Tuesday at 4:30 PM CST prior to start with no exceptions
