Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg (Neuro/Ortho/Peds) position requiring an active MI RN license and 2+ years of experience.
Details
- 225-bed specialty care hospital with a Level 2 Trauma designation
- Works on the 7th floor Neuro/Ortho/Peds unit with 24 beds
- Cares for patients of all ages over 28 days, with a mix of adult trauma/post-op Ortho/Neuro cases and a general pediatric unit
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Weekend commitment of 3 weekends every 6 weeks
- Float requirement to other inpatient units
- No on-call requirements
- Currently uses Paragon EHR, transitioning to Cerner
Requirements
- Active RN license (MI)
- BLS certification required; PALS preferred
- Minimum 2+ years of RN experience required
- 2+ years of adult patient care experience required
- Pediatric experience preferred
- ADN required
- Must provide Social Security number and date of birth for consideration
- Active Nursys licensure verification required at time of consideration
- Copies of required certifications must be provided
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care across a combined Neuro/Ortho/Pediatric unit treating trauma, post-operative, and general pediatric cases
- Collaborative team environment with 1-2 supervisors per shift
- Scrub color required is Galaxy Blue
- Must be located 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
- Candidates who have worked as perm staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
