Description
American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Nephrology/Medicine position requiring Med/Surg and Stepdown experience along with dialysis site care knowledge.
Details
- Medicine/Nephrology unit within a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly
- Care for patients requiring central line management, foley care, and end-of-life care
- Dialysis-specific care required, including proper handling of HD catheters and fistulas without improper access for blood draws
Requirements
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
- Med/Surg and Stepdown experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Charge nurse experience is a plus
- Full date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration
Additional Information
- Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients and document nursing interventions and responses
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments
- Initiate, regulate, and monitor IV infusions and blood products
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor physiological data
- Communicate care plans with patients and families, including discharge planning
- Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
- Facility enforces strict compliance and credentialing deadlines with no start date flexibility
- Extensions limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks, with a required 6-month separation before reapplying
- 30-day written notice required for early cancellation or end of assignment
