Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN - Telemetry for a night shift inpatient unit requiring 2 years of acute care RN tele experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- 25-bed inpatient unit with a 5-6:1 patient ratio
- Urology/colorectal patient population including bladder/colon resections, TURPs, and amputations
- RN responsible for reading and titrating telemetry
- Medications administered include IV antibiotics, pain medications, antihypertensives, and anticoagulants
- Equipment used includes IV pumps, walkers, and gait belts
- EPIC EMR used
- Night shift, 6:45pm-7:15am
- 3 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift, 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
- No local rate drop
Requirements
- Active RN license (KY or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of acute care inpatient telemetry RN experience
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
- EPIC EMR experience required
Additional Information
- Perform patient assessments and reassessments per policy and as warranted by patient condition
- Initiate, prioritize, and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
- Monitor, document, and evaluate patient response to clinical interventions
- Provide patient and family education throughout care and at discharge
- Delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and function as a mentor/preceptor
- Participate in a teamwork-oriented culture and Practice Governance model
- Engage in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives
