Description
American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with at least 1 year of experience for a 4x10 day shift assignment that includes on-call and weekend requirements.
Details
- Adult acute care setting
- Daily caseload of 10-12 echo studies per tech
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, including weekends and holidays
- On-call requirement of at least one weekend per month and 1-3 days per week depending on weekend on-call status
- Must be able to respond to call and arrive at the facility within 30 minutes
- No floating between service lines or to sister facilities
- Uses Philips equipment
- Epic charting system
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience as an Echo Tech
- BLS certification required
- ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS, RCCS) registration required
- License required if applicable
- Radiation badge required (must be provided by agency, not facility)
- Experience with isolation precautions and PPE
- Epic EMR experience required
- SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform echocardiograms and cardiac sonography studies for adult acute care patients
- Navy and Seal Blue scrub colors required
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Previous MUSC perm staff (including PRN) must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Local candidates within 60 miles are not accepted; non-local candidates are prioritized
- Block scheduling may be accommodated pending manager approval based on unit needs
- All requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration, with approval based on facility needs
- During hurricane season (June-November), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
