Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for Advanced Endoscopy requiring 1 year of endoscopy experience and a compact or Oklahoma RN license.

Details

  • Advanced Endoscopy unit within a hospital setting
  • Provides nursing care to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
  • Day shift schedule, 10-hour shifts, 5 days per week, 40 hours weekly

Requirements

  • Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
  • BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • Minimum of 1 year of endoscopy experience required; advanced/interventional endoscopy experience preferred
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
  • Strong knowledge of nursing theory, practices, and techniques
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills

Additional Information

  • Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients and documents nursing interventions and treatment responses
  • Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
  • Obtains and monitors patient physiological data and intervenes as necessary
  • Administers medications and manages IV infusions and blood products
  • Communicates care plans with patients and families, including at discharge
  • Delegates tasks to support staff as needed
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
  • Full date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration
  • Facility enforces strict credentialing and compliance deadlines with no flexibility for start date changes
  • 30-day written notice required to cancel or end an assignment early
