Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week acute-care hospital assignment requiring ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications.
Details
- Acute-care hospital with 266 beds including two 10-bed ICUs
- Respiratory department rotates through all inpatient floors and both ICUs
- Procedures include aerosol treatments, Bipap management, and ventilator management
- Uses Puritan Bennett 980 ventilators, Vapotherm, Phillips V60+, and Siemens EPOC bedside ABG analyzers
- Documentation via Meditech
- Day shift hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Minimum of three 12-hour shifts per week with rotating weekends
- Floats throughout all inpatient units
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Critical Care and Emergency Care
- Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP
- License required if applicable
- No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Two professional references required for Florida-based positions
Additional Information
- Join a 30-member respiratory therapy team with varying levels of experience
- RTs work at the top of their license performing intubation, arterial line insertion, and bedside bronchoscopy assist
- Participate in daily interdisciplinary nursing unit rounding
- Use of AIDET for patient experience standards
- Scrubs required as uniform
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility with no exceptions for local candidates
