Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric ICU RN for a Float Pool position requiring 3 years of Level I Trauma experience and pediatric acute care floating across multiple units.

Details

  • Float Pool position covering 34-bed PICU, 25-bed CICU, and 112-bed NICU
  • Floats to acute care units including surgical, behavioral health, med specialty (GI, neuro, respiratory), hem/onc, step down, and cardiac peds
  • May float to NICU to care for feeder/grower low acuity infants, not traditional NICU cases
  • Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 4 days per week, 48 hours weekly
  • Weekends and holidays required

Requirements

  • Active RN license (Oklahoma or multistate compact/eNLC) required
  • Current BLS and PALS certifications from AHA required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Level I Trauma facility required
  • Minimum 1 year of general RN experience required
  • Experience with trach care, high flow therapy, and infusion management required
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
  • Strong knowledge of nursing theory, practices, and techniques
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Additional Information

  • Provides direct nursing care to a diverse pediatric patient population with conditions ranging from simple to complex
  • Administers medications and monitors IV infusions and blood products
  • Collaborates with physicians on diagnostic procedures and treatments
  • Communicates care plans and discharge information with patients and families
  • Delegates tasks to support staff as needed
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
  • Facility enforces strict credentialing and compliance deadlines with no start date flexibility
